I’m all out of words,
I’ve compared your eyes
to every sunrise and sunset,
your lips to every flower
I’ve ever seen and touched.
I’ve plowed my erratic
thoughts from the ground,
planted new seeds into
a garden, but some days,
I forget to water their roots.
I’ve ripped my disjointed ideas
from beneath my skin,
revealing emerald veins,
put them up to the lights,
translucent like a ripe lemon
